Dr Michael is the founder and principal dentist at Shire Smiles Miranda, with over 16 years of experience caring for patients. He understands that visiting the dentist can be daunting, which is why he’s passionate about creating a calm, welcoming environment where patients feel heard, informed and in control of their care.
Michael chose dentistry for its unique ability to ease anxiety, build genuine relationships, and solve problems in ways that make a real difference in people’s lives. He believes that when patients understand their oral health and treatment options, confidence naturally follows – along with a greater sense of calm and trust. Clear, simple explanations are at the heart of his approach.
Michael holds a Bachelor of Medical Science from UNSW, a Bachelor of Dental Science, and a Postgraduate Diploma of Dental Implantology both from Charles Sturt University. He has a special interest in reconstructive, implant and aesthetic dentistry, regularly completing advanced training across Australia to stay up to date with the latest techniques and technology. He is a member of the Australian Dental Association, and the International Team for Implantology (ITI).
Outside the clinic, Michael enjoys spending time with his wife and daughters, travelling, staying active and making the most of summer beach days. In the cooler months, you’ll find him hiking, exploring road trips, tackling home renovation projects – or even learning how to fly.
Dr Grace completed her Bachelor of Dental Science at Charles Sturt University in Orange, gaining a strong foundation across all areas of general dentistry. Since graduating, she has worked in private clinics across Canberra and Sydney, treating a wide range of patients and dental conditions.
Grace takes a calm, gentle, and understanding approach, particularly for patients with dental anxiety or phobias. She finds it deeply rewarding to help patients feel supported and confident in the dental chair.
She’s mainly interested in preventive and restorative dentistry, with a focus on maintaining healthy teeth and gums and preventing future issues through early care and education.
Outside of work, Grace loves exploring Sydney’s coffee and matcha scene, travelling, running to clear her mind, and cooking (though she’s still working on not setting off the smoke alarm). A fun fact about Grace: she can remember almost every café she’s visited, but rarely where she parked her car.
Shereen is a qualified Oral Health Therapist who completed her Bachelor of Health Science in Oral Health in 2017. Shereen provides comprehensive oral health care with a special interest in gum health, teeth whitening, preventative treatments, and general dental care for adults as well as children. She finds her role especially rewarding when helping patients overcome dental anxiety, creating positive first dental experiences for children, and supporting long-term healthy habits.
Outside the clinic, Shereen enjoys baking, spending time with loved ones, walking and Pilates.

Kristen brings a diverse background to Shire Smiles, with experience in wedding and event management, administration, orthodontics, and general dentistry.
