Do you work under the Child Dental Benefits Scheme (CDBS)?

We do offer the Medicare Child Dental Benefits Scheme for eligible families—we do not bulk bill, so patients will need to pay on the day of their treatment, then make a claim with Medicare.

A child’s dental check up at Shire Smiles is $130 (up to 5yrs) and $210 (up to 12yrs) and includes a dental check-up, oral hygiene, fluoride treatment and an orthodontic check.

When should I first take my child to the dentist?

We recommend that children have their first dental check-up as early as possible, usually around their first birthday. This allows us to monitor their development and address any potential issues early on.
