We do offer the Medicare Child Dental Benefits Scheme for eligible families—we do not bulk bill, so patients will need to pay on the day of their treatment, then make a claim with Medicare.
A child’s dental check up at Shire Smiles is $125 (up to 5yrs) and $200 (up to 12yrs) and includes a dental check-up, oral hygiene, fluoride treatment and an orthodontic check.
We recommend that children have their first dental check-up as early as possible, usually around their first birthday. This allows us to monitor their development and address any potential issues early on.
