At Shire Smiles, your dental check up will cost you no more than $269. If you have private health cover, we can claim your treatment on the day.
At Shire Smiles, your dentist check up includes a comprehensive oral examination including an oral cancer screening, a thorough clean and fluoride treatment to strengthen your teeth. If you require X-rays, we will take these also. At your first visit, your New Patient Wellness Check includes all these services plus extra time with your dentist to discuss your personalised dental health plan.
At Shire Smiles, we don’t cut corners. We believe that your regular six monthly visits should be thorough so that your dentist has a complete picture of your dental health. This means that we may take photos, x-rays or a scan to gather more information, at no extra cost to you.
A regular six-monthly check-up and clean will take about 30 minutes. For new patients, we spend extra time to get to know you and to discuss your tailored dental health plan.
To keep your health and your teeth in top shape, you should have a dental check up and clean in Miranda every six months. This way, your dentist can find small problems and help you to prevent them from becoming a bigger problem.

A child’s dental check up at Shire Smiles is $130 (up to 5yrs) and $210 (up to 12yrs) and includes a dental check-up, oral hygiene, fluoride treatment and an orthodontic check.
We do offer the Medicare Child Dental Benefits Scheme for eligible families—we do not bulk bill, so patients will need to pay on the day of their treatment, then make a claim with Medicare.
