Cancellation Policy

At Shire Smiles, your appointment time is reserved exclusively for you, allowing us to provide the personalised care and attention you deserve.

We know your time is valuable, and we appreciate you valuing ours as well. Our team dedicates time, preparation, and care to each appointment. When one is missed, another patient misses out on the chance to be seen.

To help us keep things running smoothly:

  • A deposit is required to secure most appointments, except for routine six-monthly check-ups.
  • If you are unable to attend your appointment, we kindly ask for at least 24 hours’ notice. This gives us the opportunity to offer our time to another patient who may be waiting for care.
  • If less than 24 hours’ notice is given, or if you do not attend your appointment after confirming via phone or SMS, your deposit may be retained as a cancellation fee.

 

We understand that unexpected things can happen — children get sick, emergencies arise, and plans can change. If this occurs, please let us know as soon as possible. We always consider genuine circumstances and aim to be fair and understanding.

  • On the first occasion of failing to attend, rescheduling, or cancelling an appointment with less than 24 hours’ notice, we’ll try to accommodate you and use our discretion when deciding if a cancellation fee should apply.
  • For second and subsequent missed or short-notice cancellations (less than 24 hours), we may request an $80 deposit to secure any future appointments. This amount will be applied toward the cost of your treatment.
